SUNDAY SERVICES
Everyone is welcome - If you are visiting (or new), please introduce yourself
to the Clergy or Churchwardens.
8.00am - Said Holy Communion
Join us for a reflective service of Holy Communion, celebrated from the Book of Common Prayer. This said service invites worshippers to pause and connect with God in a meaningful way. Experience the warmth of our community as we gather in prayer and worship, creating a space where everyone feels welcome and valued. Whether you are a regular attendee or new to our parish, we invite you to join us in this sacred moment of communion, fellowship, and reflection.
9.30am - Parish Holy Communion
Join us for a joyful service of Holy Communion at 9.30am, where worship comes alive through seasonal litrugy and beautiful hymns. Our welcoming community gathers to share in the joy of faith, and we invite families to bring their children along to participate in Junior Church. While adults engage in the service, children will have the opportunity to learn about God's love in a fun and nurturing environment. We believe that worship is for everyone, and we strive to create a loving and safe space for all. Everyone is welcome to be part of this enriching experience, where faith and fellowship flourish.
1st Sunday: All Age Holy Communion
Junior Church meet in Church House, 2nd and 4th Sundays.
Junior Church games takes place in Church House every 3rd Sunday from 2-3pm.
5.00pm - Engage (Second Sunday of the month)
Engage is a service introduced to offer a more contemporary style of service for those who like it and broaden further the options for worship at St John’s. The music is led by a band, consisting of members of other churches in the local area alongside members of our own congregation, and this ecumenical dynamic has greatly enriched our experiences so far. Our aim is to hear from a variety of people speaking on a theme for each month’s service and for the congregation to have an opportunity to engage in the service, responding to God in a personal way.
